Marie Miller has been involved in dog training since a beautiful Golden Retriever puppy called Cindy joined her and husband John, a few weeks after their marriage. Being a 'horse person', it was a bit of a shock to discover that dogs didn't 'just know how to behave' and the penny dropped that it might be a good idea to join a class and learn how to train her properly. The rest as they say is history as the dog training bug can bite hard and fast!
Recognised as one of the UK’s leading dog trainers and behaviourists, Marie is also a Tellington TTouch Practitioner 3 and also holds an RSA Certificate in Counselling Skills and the Development of Learning. She has written for numerous dog and pet publications including holding the position of dog editor of Natural Horsemanship Magazine. Marie is a member of the Association of Pet Dog Trainers' UK and a serving committee member. She is also actively involved in APDT Rally here in the UK.
Her consultancy Paws 'n' Learn has helped clients from celebrities to competitors to general pet owners all over the country. Marie is also technical consultant to Xtra Dog and often travels with the Xtra Dog team offering free dog advice to customers on their stands, and has been with them at Crufts, Discover Dogs, Paws in the Park, Robin Hood Game and Country Show and the LKA . Marie lives with her husband, son and five dogs. For the past 14 years Tellington TTouch and TTEAM have played a major role in the direction that Marie and Paws'n'Learn have taken.
